A FEW THINGS TO KNOW
How many people can attend our elopement?
Your elopement can be just the two of you or include a small group of people you care about.
Can we write our own vows?
Absolutely. You can write personal vows, use traditional wording, or choose something simpler.
Can we include scripture, prayer, or spiritual elements?
Yes. Your ceremony can include religious, spiritual, secular, or blended elements based on your preferences.
Can family or friends participate?
Yes. Readings, short remarks, blessings, or other meaningful participation can be incorporated according as you wish.
Can we choose our ceremony location?
Yes. We’ll discuss your preferred Charleston-area location and any practical considerations before the ceremony.
What happens with our marriage license?
You bring your valid South Carolina marriage license. I’ll complete and return the required officiant paperwork afterward.
An elopement works well when you want an intimate ceremony with room for personalization.
If you only need the legal requirements completed, a marriage signing may be the better fit.
If you want a larger or more detailed ceremony, consider a custom ceremony instead.
